They reported.
We kept the record.

A consolidated, sourced archive of the journalists who held power to account without fear or favour — their defining work, the cost it carried, and the recognition it earned. Nothing here is original claim; every line is attributed.

“Surprised, not shocked.”
Outlook, November 2025

Anuradha Bhasin joined Kashmir Times, the newspaper founded by her father Ved Bhasin, in 1989 and has edited it through three decades of conflict reporting. Her petition after the August 2019 communications blackout produced the Supreme Court's January 2020 judgment in Anuradha Bhasin v. Union of India, which held that indefinite internet shutdowns are impermissible and that freedom of the press extends to the internet.

Those who defined it

Pioneers and the fallen, kept apart from the living so the record stays precise.

How this record is kept

Nothing asserted.
Everything attributed.

Two-source minimum

Any case, arrest or threat is cited to at least two reputable public sources, or it is not published. The build itself refuses a profile without them.

Record, not verdict

Events are dated and attributed. The site draws no conclusion about any third party.

The other side, always

Where an allegation exists, the complainant's or the state's position is set out beside it.
